Discarding a Survey

It may be the case that you want to remove a survey that is not going to be used. This article explains what you can do.

In some cases, an existing survey may not make sense anymore. Whatever the reason for that, there are a few things you can do about it. It is important to know that it is not possible to delete a survey from the system as if it has never been created. So, being aware of that, here is what you can do.

If the survey has never been used, meaning nobody has ever been invited to answer it, you can:

• Recycle it: rename the survey, change its questions, and create an entirely new survey.
• Ignore it: just leave it there. Maybe you would like to prefix it with "[OBSOLETE]", "[INACTIVE]" or something like this to make clear for everyone that this survey must not be used (click here to know how to rename a survey).

If the survey has already received answers, you will not be able to recycle it. So, here are other options:

• Ignore it: leave it there with the other surveys. Maybe you can consider prefixing it with "[OBSOLETE]" or "[INACTIVE]" to indicate that this survey should not be used anymore. Remember, though, that this would not prevent anyone from sending invites to this survey (click here to know how to rename a survey).
• Ask to disable it: if you really want to get the survey disabled, please contact your account manager and make a change request.
